The making of our new 1st floor exhibition rooms...

Having recently opened our new exhibition rooms on the first floor of the gallery we thought we would have a look back at the building when we first took it on...

We are so pleased with the finished look & feel of the exhibition rooms and & we are very much looking forward to holding more events in the future, it is an exciting new chapter for the gallery.

At the moment we are showing an exhibition of paintings by James Paterson titled 'INComplete & Unabridged' which runs until December 1st, the space upstairs is a beautiful peaceful part of the gallery and with James' work being so high energy it works really well, we couldn't be more proud of James.

Following James' show is an exhibition celebrating our landscape....'Reflections of the North' by Paul Denham will preview Saturday 9th December and runs until January. As always everyone is welcome...

It has been interesting to look back at photographs of the building from before we started any work, it's so nice to bring this lovely old 'house' back from the brink!!! It was fairly unloved for a long time!

Everyone likes a before & after don't they!? Scroll down to see the images...
